The Group Investment Portfolio refers to the combined investment assets of Hawke’s Bay Regional Council and HBRIC. These assets are held across the two entities but managed collectively under HBRIC’s oversight, with the common purpose of generating returns that contribute to Council’s service delivery and offset the rates burden.

As at 31 December 2025, the Group Investment Portfolio was valued at $637m. It comprises distinct asset classes held across two entities, each with different return profiles, liquidity characteristics and distribution mechanics.
